In February I will have been blogging for 6 years. I realize a lot has changed since I’ve started this blog. It’s not always easy to keep things the same or to pour my heart out with wreckless abandon like I did when I first started this blog and 5 of my friends were reading it (Hi! Veronica, Melissa, Christine, Jen & Chrissy).
These days blogging is as much a job for me as it is a hobby. I love writing and sharing here and my favorite posts to write still are those that are personal. Balance isn’t something I’ve ever been very good at, especially not since becoming a mom. But balance is something that I hope to have here on the blog and hope that you enjoy the sponsored content just as much as you enjoy the other content. I put myself into every piece I write and I feel blessed that people are willing to pay me to write and share about the things I love.
This space wouldn’t be what it is without my readers. At the end of last year I did a giveaway of a few of my favorite things and it was so much fun. This year my hope is to involve all of you more here on the site, with games (like our Bachelor fantasy league), giveaways and on social media. I love when I can ask your opinion or for advice on Facebook and you all come through, like earlier this week when I needed help finding a bathing suit.
I have lots of ideas about where I want to go in 2017, and this week I’m headed to one of those places for some much-needed down time. But while I’m away I’m curious to know what you want from this site in 2017. Please take my yearly survey and let me know what you want to see more of in 2017.
Some quick 2016 highlights
My most popular post was this recipe.
My second most popular post was this maternity fashion post.
This post about the third trimester was my most popular family post. Followed closely by this gem about unmedicated child birth.
As always I’m so grateful that so many of you who started reading and supporting me 6 years ago are still here today. I always say that I have the most loyal readers and I always value your comments, support and feedback.
Cheers to 2017.

Your children are so cute – I love the pictures you shared in this post! Balance is so hard – I agree with you on that one – and I always agree with you when you talk about how awesome wine is 🙂 May this year bring you much happiness! Happy New Year!
