Let me start by saying that I’m not a scrapbooker. But I am a huge fan of capturing the moment and storing it in a beautifuly decorated album for nostagia’s sake. Now you may be thinking that sounds like scrapbooking…let me explain.
When I was about 15 I was obsessed with putting together my photo albums only back then I did not know that this was called scrapbooking. I would clip pictures and words out of magazines and use them to decorate the pages of my photo albums. I would type up song lyrics on my computer and place them next to pictures of people and places that I associated the lyrics with. I still remember one photo from summer of 98 and the song lyrics that went with it. It was a group shot with the lyrics to the song Back to Good taped to blue construction and placed in the album under the photo.
I was meticulous with these albums. The photos had to be in the exact order that they were taken. Every moment was logged, this was in the days of film and even the bad shots had a place in the album.
Then I went to college and life got hectic. I barely had time to get the pictures developed and thrown into an album that had premeasured slots for them.
Then came work, marriage and of course Jackson. Now-a-days I’m lucky if I have time to upload them to my facebook page let alone put them in an album.
Which is why I was super excited when Liz, from My Memories emailed me to say she enjoyed the blog and to offer me a chance to review My Memories Suite digital scrapbooking software.
I loaded the software and within minutes was creating super cute albums of Jackson’s first summer and our trip to OBX (see below, please forgive me if it’s not as spiffy as it could be I’m new to the world of scrapbooking). I have to say as someone who hasn’t scrapbooked (and by scrapbooked I mean gone to AC Moore and spent a fortune on cut outs and paper) this software rocks. I can personalize as little or as much as I want. I can design my own pages or I can let them do it for me. Best of all I can print it or or have it bound into a book. Oh and my favorite feature is I can add background music and upload it.
So My Memories has given me one My Memories Suite digital scrapbooking software (a $40) to give away as a prize. Here’s how to enter:
1). Visit My Memories website and leave a comment on this blog about a product that you like. The comment has to be on the blog, if you have problems posting the comment please let me know and I will make it work.
2). Like the My Memories Page on facebook
3). Click the follow button on the right hand side of the page to follow the blog. If you are already a follower I’m giving you one entry, just cause.
You can do all 3 of these or just one or none. But the more ways you enter the more chances you have to win. Then I’ll draw a winner next Wednesday.
Disclaimer: While My Memories gave me a free memory suite to review and to give away. I have to say that if I didn’t think the product was fun and cool I would not say nice things about it. Just keepin it real ; )
Bonus entry to the person who can tell me who sang the song Back to Good circa 1998.

That looks like an awesome tool! I love scrapbooking but I had no clue they had a program like that.
Isn't that a Matchbox 20 song?
