Today I’m doing something a little different. I found this writing prompt on Write on Edge and decided to give it a try. Hope you enjoy.
At the copier I make three copies of the first sheet, two copies of the second sheet and one copy of the remaining pages. I press the clear button and turn the copier over to my co-worker.
“Hey, I read your blog”, he says. “You’re a great writer”.
“Thank you. I’m glad you liked it. You know it’s like my thing”
I smile and head to my desk. Novels, poems, words, all race through my mind at 100 miles per hour. Possibilities.
I sit down at my desk. The phone rings, the fax beeps. There is work to be done.
The prompt was conjure something. An object, a person, a feeling, a color, a season- whatever you like.
But don’t tell us what it is, conjure it. In 100 words. Let me know your thoughts on how I did with the prompt.
I’m linking up with the two sites below : )

"It's kind of my thing" brought a smile to my face . . . I remember talking to a girl in high school . . . we were flirting (because, well, that's what I do a lot of) and had no idea she was a dancer.
It's great to own "your thing," so this makes me happy.

I love how that thing is the one bright spot among the mundane.

Eek! I so know this moment- go you! It's yours!
Also? Welcome! I'm so, so glad that you joined in today!
CDG says
You certainly conjured a familiar feeling amongst us writers.
