Even though I was told not to, I did it anyway. I threw the big 1st Birthday party. I couldn’t resist. I wanted to celebrate.
So on the Sunday after Thanksgiving we gathered 40 of our nearest and dearest to celebrate Jack’s big 1. There were no tears or tantrum, but there was some broken glasses and spilled puffs. I like to think a good time was had by all.
Cookie Monster and Elmo cupcakes, by The Cake Lady. They were a big hit.
Jack and his buddy TJ.
The boys looking out at the water. I love this shot.
Jack trying to climb on the stage.
Ms. Mia, Jack’s 1st girlfriend, they were born in the same hospital 1 day apart.
Jack and Daddy.
After the party John and I unwrapped all the gifts and put the toys together. When Jack woke up in the morning he was in for a big surprise. Our friends and family were so generous!

You should have just waited a bit and considered it his Christmas.
I know I am totally cheap. I am also very inconsiderate as I would have taken all the credit. At least until my kids knew the difference.
Happy Birthday baby boy!
