5 Things you couldn’t live without

1). My Dishwasher. I hate washing dishes. I hate dishes sitting in the sink, it’s one of my pet peeves. I come from a long ling of people who hate dishes in the sink. Leave a dish in the sink at my parents house and you are guaranteed a 10 minute lecture from my father or a scathing look from my mom. Also the sweet sound of my dishwasher works wonderfully as a white noise machine. When Jack was an infant I would place his Rock and Play sleeper in front of it and it would lull him to sleep.

2). My IPhone.
I am a snob when it comes to my phone but I truly believe that like the commercial says, “if you don’t have an IPhone, you don’t have an IPhone”. I feel in love with my IPhone the moment I got it and the love has been going strong ever since. My recent upgrade to the 4S has nearly made my next favorite thing obsolete.

3). My Camera.
In college and at parties I was that girl with the camera. The girl who took all the pictures. The girl who captured your embarrassing drunken moments. The girl who took 100 pictures in one night. The girl asking random strangers and bar tenders to “take our picture”. The girl who then posted them to facebook. Yes I was that girl and I’m not ashamed. I took 600 pictures of Jack in the first 4 months of his life. I would be lost without my camera.

4). A Shower.
When Jack was an infant I learned real fast that I am NOT a friendly, functional person with out a shower.

5). A great pair of shoes.
At 5’0″ on a good day, I love my heels. Just that lil bit of extra height and style can tern an OK outfit into an extraordinary outfit. The right shoe turns a night out into a dance party. The right shoe gives me a boost of confidence. I tend to think a lot about my shoes before any big event. When I told my boss I was leaving to be a stay at home mom I made sure to wear some sky high confidence boosting heels.
