#SundayFunday

I see a lot of my friends talking about #SundayFunday.

On Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, I see picture of them lying on the beach, sipping cocktails, going out to dinner. And while Sunday has always been a fun day at our house (since it is John’s only day off it has be} I’ve never had a #Sundayfunday.

So this past Sunday, became #SundayFunday on my twitter, Facebook, Instagram and even here on Thursday it’s #SundayFunday.

We went out to breakfast at Sunset Pier where they serve “Mickey” pancakes. Since Jack currently loves all things Mickey we had to try them out. I thought they were a little lack luster but Jack loved them.

After breakfast we walked up the pier to check out the boats.

After Jack’s nap we headed to Cape May. We stopped at one of our favorite restaurants, Lucky Bones, for dinner. Even though Jack had a bag of cookies at his Great Gram’s earlier in the day, he still managed to eat some Mac and Cheese.
It was some seriously good mac and cheese.
And he spent a lot of time taking the complimentary crayons out of the box and putting them back.
I love how a simple activity can amuse him.
After dinner we strolled the mall in Cape May. They have an Olive Oil tasting room, and a Ben and Jerry’s store so we know we will be back soon. But for Jack the highlight of the night was the fountain on the mall.
How was your #SundayFunday?

That does look a fun day! I don't even remember what we did Sunday…i think it involved more getting ready for school. We'll have to have a #sundayfunday this weekend!

    Thanks for linking up!

I know a lot of parents complain about eating out with their kids, but we love taking our toddler to restaurants. He's usually well behaved and I don't have to cook!

I never even noticed #sundayfunday. I must be totally lame. Now that you pointed it out, it has all come rushing back into my head. We tend to have #sundaylazyday as much as possible. We are always on the go and we need a day to just veg. Ignore the hashtag and make whatever day you want your fun day or even better…fun days! It sounds like your day above was so awesome it should inspire its own hashtag. 🙂

Great day! I actually made a million cookies on Sunday which wasn't so smart seeing as it was a billion degrees and we didn't have the AC on. Why would I choose to stand in front of a hot stove all day. Oh yeah, cookies!

For some reason I really enjoy baking in the summer, even in the heat there is nothing like homemade cookies.

Looks like you had a great day! Isn't it funny how the littlest things like fountains can be the highlight of a kids day?! My boys love spotting fire hydrants! 🙂 I'm a new follower from SITS.
