To say we’ve been busy lately is an understatement. I actually feel a bit guilty even taking time away from unpacking to write this post.
But I really wanted to share these pictures that I took last week, before the big move.
It was one of our last days in Sea Isle and it wasn’t the prettiest of days. It was overcast and the air was thick and salty in a way it can only be when you live by the ocean.
Those last few days living at my parents where tense. The end was in sight and I think we all needed a break.
So Jack and I went to the beach, because sometimes I just need to see the ocean. I guess growing up at the beach will do that to you. I tend to get pulled to the beach whenever I need to clear my head.
It wasn’t much of beach day but, I think it was the best day we had at the beach.

Gorgeous pictures!
I am more of a mountain girl than an ocean girl, but this looks awesome.
Good luck in your new home!
Julia Hunter says
I have never been to the mountains but I imagine that they would have the same kind of pull that the ocean does.

Oh, how I wish I could just go to the ocean when I need to clear my head! Living in kansas…not so much. 🙂 I can imagine what those last days were like, but I'm glad you got away and had some fun! Great pictures!!
Julia Hunter says
Whenever I feel far from the ocean I always think of people who live in Kansas, I can't imagine being that far from the ocean. Our new house is about 20 minutes away and that seems like a lot.

There is just something about the beach that is mind-clearing, huh? We live about 90 minutes from the beach, but when I need a break we always schedule a beach day.
Julia Hunter says
A beach day is the perfect break from reality.

Gorgeous shots! I love the beach and am so sad that we don't visit it as much as we could have.
Julia Hunter says
Thank you, even though we are close to the beach we never seem to get there as often as we should.

I love the beach too and I'm so glad it's never more than a 30 minute car ride away. We are hoping to move a bit closer at some point… Hope the move is going well!
Julia Hunter says
Thank you the move went well. A 30 minute car ride isn't so bad, I hope you move a bit closer some day.

This month HAS started off incredibly busy! I didn't grow up near sand but can understand the pull of nature. Woodland will do that as well. Gorgeous photos!!

Yes, it is way busy! I feel like October hit and the holidays are just around the corner….yikes!

I know what you mean about having to see the beach. Having grown up going to the beach every weekend — it hits me every spring. This intense desire to smell the salt air and walk with the sand between my toes. Great photos.
Julia Hunter says
Oh you so get what I mean : )

I am desperate to get to the beach. It has been years. Someday…
Your pics are gorgeous 🙂

Thank you and I hope you get there soon.

Little ones on the beach make up those pictures you just HAVE to have! So beautiful.

Thank you, I can't seem to get enough pictures of him on the beach.

He is so stinkin' cute!!
I have to ask…how do you like your Toms? My girls love theirs but they look like they are unforgiving on the back of the heel. I'd rather get your opinion that two girls that just want to sparkle in their glitter Toms. 😉
Julia Hunter says
Thank you… I hope you get your green Toms soon.
