I took last week off from blogging and it was a good week, so full of fun and love. And I’ve sat down to write this post 3 times today but I’m finding it hard to find words. Words are harder and harder to come by these days when tragedy seems to be a monthly occurrence.
So instead here’s a glimpse into what’s been going on in my world.
.
My homemade Mother’s Day gifts from Jackson. He was so proud of himself and it made my heart so happy when he presented them to me and said, “Happy Mother’s Day”.
We filled a rainy day with a homemade fort, just like my brother and I used to do when we were kids. He reminds me so much of my brother in this picture, filling his fort with his stuffies and trucks.
My simple store brought gifts, a “This mom runs on Dunkin mug” and a cupcake from my favorite bakery. Sometimes it’s the simplest things that make me smile.
We’ve finally had some nice weather and I can’t figure out which one of them loves the yard most.
And I’ve become fairly obsessed with my new favorite App, Color Splash. I just love this shot of Jackson blowing on a dandelion. He is such a sweet little guy.
On Saturday we did some Yard Saling, I was hoping to find some outdoor toys but we came up empty handed. And I have to say the amount of junk that people has totally blows my mind. Hoarders South Jersey needs you.
After the sales we swung by a park in our old neighborhood. I love this park because there is lots of room to run and it’s rarely crowded and it overlooks the bay. Jack surprised me by climbing up this ladder all by himself.
On Sunday threw caution to the wind and skipped nap for a trip to the Garden State Discovery Museum. Jack had a blast running around the museum exploring the construction site, farmers market and bubble center, not to mention all the other fun areas.
He could have easily stayed all day but John and I had other plans which included lunch at the Cheesecake Factory so we had to call it a day after two hours.
My favorite part was the Channel 6 Action News studio. Jack loved pointing to the where we live on the map and being on “mommy’s news”.
So what have you been up to?

It was such a great find on a rainy day. We will definitely be back, even though it was a good hour drive for us.

Wow! Sounds like you had an awesome week! It really is the little things that make Mother's Day awesome. I'll take a home made card and a cupcake over one of those "Jane Seymour for Kay Jeweler's Open Heart" necklaces that look like angry cobras every time.

What a fun and eventful week.
We've been waiting for our weather to stay nice. We get one day good, 2 days bad… ugh.

Oh the usual, which always involves lots of cleaning 🙂 I am getting that app. By which I mean I am telling my 12 year old to do it for me. I am pathetic with all technology.
