We’ve entered the imaginative phase around here, and seriously it’s cute.
Most days you can catch Jack toting Mickey everywhere he goes. He goes to Shop Rite and on the rides and to the playground. In the shopping cart Mickey gets buckled in.
At home Jack makes Mickey breakfast and changes his diapers. Sometimes mom gets stuck doing double duty and has to change Mickey and make his breakfast.
And maybe it’s crazy to go along with it. To change imaginary diapers.
But it’s so cute and he loves it.
He got a doctor kit and a tool set recently and he loves to pretend to be Dr. Jackson. He checks my heart which seems to be located in my stomach and takes me temperature under my foot.
He makes me pretend coffee and takes me on pretend picnics. Some days we fly off to the moon with Minnie, Mickey and Blankie as our passengers.
And it really is just amazing the way his mind sees the world. His ability to turn an ordinary day into an adventure. The way that a spark of his imagination can just light up our day.
What do your kids imagine? Do you know what the title of this post is a reference to?

My son has that same Mickey Mouse as well, he got it during a trip to Disneyland 9 years ago – and still loves it!

My girls are in the midst of playing doctor, dentist, and veterinarian at this very moment. I LOVE that they play together and they feed off each other's imaginative suggestions. It definitely is fun to eavesdrop on them.

My kids currently have a lot of adventures that revolve around trains and various characters from tv shows they watch. Isn't it fun seeing what they come up with?

It's THE cutest thing when they start pretending, isn't it?! Erv just started recently, and it involves a lot of the trucks getting stuck in the mud, and randomly shouting that he sees something and then talks about it for a while. I swoon, every time, just like I imagine you do!
