We are on the verge around here… on the verge of a 2 year old turning 3, on the verge of Thanksgiving, on the verge of Christmas. So much fun and excitement on the way. It is the calm before the storm so to say.
So before we roll into all the fun and frenzy that this time of year brings, here are my Friday Faves. Friday Faves are my favorite moments from this past week.
In the bathroom at a craft fair last weekend…
Toddler: “What’s that mom?” looks at me and points down “Is that your boobies?”
Me: Shhhh
As I’m getting ready to go to a baby shower
Toddler: “Mommy you look beautiful”. Seriously it was the highlight of my week. I almost changed out of the sweater and jeans I had on but the hubs said, “Jack said you looked beautiful”, so I wore it.
We did some great shopping at craft fair and I found these awesome wine cozies. Now my wine glass is ready for some cold winter weather.
Tuesday as I dropped Jack off to preschool a little boy said, “Jackson, do you want to do a puzzle”. It made me so happy to see that he is making friends.
Jack’s allergies had been bothering him for a few days and by Wednesday they were getting worse. We saw our pediatrician and it’s just a cold but it’s really taken everything out of Jack. And it’s meant lots of crying at the sight of the nasal aspirator. But it’s also meant lots of snuggles and sleep.
I hope it passes before Sunday when our family will be over to celebrate his birthday.
I put Christmas music on while cooking dinner the other night, it is so soothing and comforting and happiness inducing.
I haven’t fully planned my Thanksgiving dinner yet. But I’m looking forward to all the food and officially kicking off the Christmas season.
What have been your favorite moments of the week?

Aw, I love things like hearing another child ask yours to play. Happy mom moment! And happy birthday to him. 😉

Thank you Robin : )

Their first non-family friends….the best! Poor Jack, though, with the cold. I hope he gets over it soon. 🙁 We're having hub's parents over for Thanksgiving and I'm cooking everything, so I went shopping yesterday. I'm not too excited about it. Ha!

Thank you Greta! He got over the cold and I survived cooking Thanksgiving. I hope your Thanksgiving dinner went well.

I cracked up at what he said in the bathroom, ha ha! My boys, oh man, they love to make comments like that! Hope your Thanksgiving was awesome!

I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets asked that and I'm so not sure how to answer when he says it.
