Every year when I start thinking about birthday or holiday gifts I always think about what toys my son plays with. And I wonder what toys other peoples kids play with. Because my house is filled with enough toys that don’t get played with (but that the toddler can’t part with either because that would make too much sense) and I’m sure your house is the same way. I’ve come up with the Wine In Mom Holiday Toy Guide for Kids Ages 3 and Under.
Jake and the Neverland Pirates Bucky Pirate Ship.
Santa brought this to Jack last year and he still plays with it just about everyday. I love that the characters in this toy move and can be used with other Jake sets. Also Jack loves to load Bucky up with his favorite characters from his other play sets and sail off on adventures.
Step 2 Kitchen
I love this kitchen for so many reasons. It was fairly inexpensive, came with some very nice accessories and it gets played with everyday. There are bigger kitchens out there but this one is just the right size.
Play Food
I may have went overboard last year when it comes to the play food but both sets that I brought are totally worth the clean up. The Learning Resources food set is colorful and fun and I love that it is mostly healthy foods, no plastic French fries here. It is incredibly durable and Bailey has not managed to chew up any of the food.
Eagle Talon Castle
My MIL got this for Jack and I think she regrets the day she let it leave her house. Jack will play with this toy for hours. He incorporates his Jake and Toy Story Imaginext characters when he plays with the castle. So most days I find Buzz Lightyear sailing into rescue Woody, Jake and Cubby. There are places through out the castle where you can place the characters and turn them to reveal secret passageways. This toy is easily one of the most played with in our house.
Toy Story Pizza Planet Truck
What is there not to love about a toy that shoots pizza? Jack got this as a potty training reward from his grandparents. This truck works with all other Imaginext characters and is really well built. In fact we love all Imaginext toys in our house and if your kids do not have Imaginext then you don’t know what you are missing.
All of these opinions are my own. I love sharing with my friends and family products that we love. I also enjoy reading reviews of toys prior to making purchases, so I hope that you find this helpful. This post is not sponsored but in full disclosure if you click on the amazon link and purchase a product a very small portion goes to the Wine in Mom Wine Fund 🙂

I love all these ideas! I've always wanted a play kitchen. Um, I mean, I want one for my kids. Ahem.

Lol I feel the same way about the easy bake oven.

I think all 3 of mine would love that pirate ship. We just discovered Jake over here- and so we only know it in Dutch- it's kind of funny. The twins would go bonkers for a kitchen, but it's one of those things that I just can't deal with over here and worry about getting rid of when we're done. Ikea has an awesome one too.

The Jake ship is awesome, my son just got into Jake this year.

I almost got that pirate ship for Katie last year. She loves Jake. I may still get it for her this year… 🙂 And my older boys would probably still love the pizza shooter – HA!

I have so many friends who have girls who love Jake. The ship is awesome we are adding Capt. Hook's ship to the fleet this year.
