First things first: 1 Holy Night or 8 Crazy Ones? (Do you Celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, both?)
Christmas but it’s more of a season than just one night.
Peppermint or Chocolate?
Peppermint, specifically the candy cane Hershey Kisses.
Sing us into the Holiday Season, what is your favorite Carol this time of year?
That’s such a tough question. It’s not Christmas until I hear The Christmas Song, the moment Nat King Cole sings “Chestnuts roasting on an open fire…” and I’m ready for all things Christmas.
Honorable mentions Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas (any version), Happy Xmas (War is over) – John Lennon and last but not least My Only Wish – Britney Spears.
Tell us about a Favorite Family or Personal Holiday Tradition?
Our traditions are in a time of change this year. Jack is getting older and we are starting to form our own traditions while the traditions that my family did when I was a kid have evolved, changed or fallen off.
The two new traditions I’m loving are our yearly Christmas light walk with our neighbors when we put the kids in the wagon and walk the neighborhood with hot chocolate to look at the lights.
The other is a brunch that we are doing this year on Christmas Eve with the same friends. We have a big brunch and the kids open presents it’s like a mini Christmas.
C’mon you remember your favorite (Christmas, Hanukkah) gift, tell us all about it:
While I have had many awesome Christmas gifts the best Christmas gift I ever got was Bailey puppy, 7 years ago.
That magical moment? (Your favorite scene from a Holiday movie…it’s okay if you have 2)
Love Actually is my favorite and I love the scene where the guy knocks on Keira Knightly’s character’s door and holds up the signs and says, “Say it’s carol singers” and then proceeds to tell her how he feels.
It’s a Wonderful Life when George is redeemed and he reads, “no man is poor who has a friend” Total tear jerker. Bailey is named after George Bailey.
Kissing under the mistletoe? Who do you hope is standing underneath (We know it’s normally your spouse, if it did not have to be, who would you choose?)
I don’t think I’ve ever kissed under the mistletoe or seen mistletoe. Once in college we hung a jingle bell in an entry way and called it mistletoe but that’s another story….
Swans a swimming, lords a leaping, golden rings; which gift of the 12
days of Christmas would you like most?
None of the above. And that’s one of my least favorite Christmas songs.
Play Secret Santa, what inappropriate gift would you love to give this year?
I always want to give someone one of those fake mounted deer that sing or a Billy Bass.
Martha Stewart or the Grinch? What is your decorating style? (Pictures would be awesome!)
Definitely not the Grinch but I’m no Martha Stewart either.
What is ONE WORD that defines the holiday season for you? (Examples: Believe/Wonder/Bah Humbug?)
Joy. There are so many little joys this time of year.
If Santa could assure its delivery, what’s the first thing on your holiday wish LIST?
I’m really blessed this year and there is nothing I need or really want. But if Santa was feeling generous I would love to go on vacation just John and I to somewhere tropical.

To be honest, that is my LEAST favorite Christmas song. It's just TOO long! ha!
I still have yet to watch Love Actually, maybe I will tonight after the kids go to bed…
So glad you linked up, my friend! Merry Christmas!!

I watched Love Actually for the first time this year and thought it was really cute! I was the wet blanket this year on our holiday. We had a stomach bug and I was so nervous about us all getting it- and worried about it- I couldn't relax. Nice thing about Christmas is you get a chance to do it again next year.
