Old School Blogging – March 2014

What is the last thing you watched on TV?
Other than the endless loop of Disney Jr… either Revenge or House of Cards.
When did you last step outside? What were you doing?
I ran outside to get the mail, it is so cold and windy that I don’t think I’m going back out again today. (I filled this out last Thursday, today it’s snowing and I’m definitely not going out).
What is on the walls of the room you are in?
These flower pictures from Pier One, I love the one with the blue flowers it is one of my favorite things in my home.

If you became a multi-millionaire overnight, what would you buy?
A condo in Key West, a bicycle and a margarita at Sloppy Joe’s.
Tell me something about you that most people don’t know.

I was the Sea Isle City Italian American Parade Princess when I was a tween. It was awkward and weird. Years later I turned down the option to be the queen.
Who made the last incoming call on your phone?
John, if you look at my incoming call list it’s all John with an occasional call from my mom thrown in. I can’t remember the last time I called a friend, we all just text now, though I do miss those days of hour long conversations with friends.
If you could change something about your home, without worry about expense or mess, what would you do?

The floors. I would love to put new floors down and get the basement redone. Our basement was an in-law suite for the former owners mil so it’s all baby blue and rose pink down there.
What was the last thing you bought?

These nifty little ramekins at TJ Maxx.

Would you go bungee jumping or sky diving?

Probably not, I don’t really like heights and I can’t imagine jumping out of a plane.
If you could eat lunch with one famous person, who would it be?

Rachael Ray, I’m sure the food would be delicious.
Which store would you choose to max out your credit card?

Currently it would be a furniture store or home goods store of some sort. Maybe Pottery Barn or Pier 1.
Is the glass half empty or half full?

As long as there is wine in it, it’s always half full : )

What’s the farthest-away place you’ve been?

Italy or Switzerland, I’m not sure which is farther. Being in a foreign country really makes you feel so far from home, but it was wonderful and I wish I could travel more.

Tubing in Switzerland circa 1998

What’s under your bed?

Socks, maybe some dust bunnies. For the first time in my life I don’t have a ton of shit under my bed.
What is your favorite time of the day?

I just recently started getting up before everyone else and I love these early morning hours when the house is quiet and I can do what I want.
What Inspires You?

A blank page and a good Papermate pen, song lyrics that I can’t get out of my head, a good book, a cup of coffee and some quiet time, a friend who pushes me to step outside my comfort zone, knowing that my words are being read and progress.

My incoming call list is tragically empty. I've got all outgoing calls to my mom and the occasional one to my husband. It is kind of sad now that I think of it. Poor phone!

Wow, that is one long title you had when you were the Sea Princess – LOL! ;D

And you picked an excellent person to lunch with! If I were to choose a chef it would probably be Ina Garten. Or Giada De Laurentiis.

And I have not watched Revenge in ages. What did I miss?? ;p

Hi five for the bicycle 🙂 And I too love those ramekins! There's a store here I think you'd like called Kar Wei or something like that. It's very similar to Pier 1.

I seriously hope that you don't have a ton of shit under your bed because that would smell bad enough to strip that pale blue and pink paint off the basement walls 🙂 Totally kidding. I couldn't resist.
I love Pier One. I banned myself from there when we were redoing our basement. Now that we are on our kitchen reno….I've been itching to return…muwhahah

Rachael Ray would be fun to have lunch with! I love her fun recipes.
I get inspired with a fresh page and a good pen, too. I do most of my writing on the computer now, but seeing your answer made me remember it. 🙂
