On the last week of school I’ve been….
attending a blogger event.
food shopping by myself
stopping for coffee at the “fancy” coffee shop without the drive through
enjoying every spare moment of quiet
forgetting to purchase teacher gifts
thinking “whatever will we do all summer”
reminding myself that we will survive and thrive
trying to relax
listening to my own music in the car whenever possible
rolling the windows down
making lots and lots of lists
keeping the calendar full
interviewing babysitters
remembering teacher gifts
getting a manicure and pedicure
singing karaoke with my Moms Club
surprised that the school year is over
signing up for swim lessons
making my summer reading list
attempting to watch Orange is the New Black (only made it through 2 episodes so far)
making plans
annoyed that the weather isn’t cooperating with said plans
looking forward to summer
thinking how nice it will be not to rush out the door every day
rushing around for field day shirts and end of year party prep
overwhelmed by all the days there are till September
wishing for one more week of school
ready for sunny days, 80 degrees and making memories.
