FarFaria App Review and Giveaway

In full disclosure I was provided with a 6 month subscription to Farfaria to review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Jack loves any opportunity to go to the library and each week when we visit we come home with a large pile of books. He picks out so many that I end up bringing a bag back and forth every time we visit. He loves picking out new books to read and picking up old favorites. Bringing Jack to the library is one of my favorite activities because I’m always excited to see what books he picks out.

I was recently asked to review the FarFaria app, a storybook app that gives subscribers access to unlimited reading of hundreds of high quality children’s books. Farfaria is geared to kids ages 2-9. Five new and engaging stories are added to the library every week. It is like having our own virtual library at our finger tips. Any time can be library time with the Farfaria app.

I love this concept because it allows us to take story time anywhere we go without taking along a bunch of books. This is especially great for traveling when I like to keep our bedtime routine as close to our routine at home as possible. On most trips I would have to pack a few books to get us through vacation but with the Farfaria app I can access hundreds of stories without having to pack anything additional.

Farfaria is a world of stories which are broken down into lands, based on the types of stories.
Farfaria Lands include:

  • Animal Kingdom
  • Mt. Make Believe
  • Fairy Tale Falls
  • Adventure Island
  • Bedtime Bluffs
  • Preschool Playground
  • Classics Grove
  • Genius Jungle
  • Looney Lagoon
  • Goodland
  • Sing-Along City

Each land contains a library of stories that can quickly be downloaded the stories can then be read by a child or a parent or they can be played (read) by the app.

Things we love about Farfaria:

  • Variety of content
  • Fun lands of to explore
  • Encourages reading
  • Teaches site words through stories
  • Colorful pictures
  • Includes classic stories
  • Pacing of stories is perfect for little ones.
  • Stories are told in a calm, soothing, voice
  • Option to read the story rather than play it.
  • Stories geared towards different reading levels
  • 5 new stories added every week.
  • Offline access to favorite stories

I’m really excited to use this app on our next trip. It is great to have a large library accessible at the click of a button. And because there are so many books available to us, we won’t get tired of hearing the same story over and over again, though I’m fairly certain it’s a preschoolers prerogative to read the same stories again and again. Jackson loved checking out all the different stories and listening to me read them as well as playing them on the app.

This sounds like such a great resource. Ds6 could have used it this summer when he couldn't swim thanks to a broken arm.
