5 Random Things About Me

I’m seriously unmotivated to blog today. I missed two days in my blogging every day challenge. But I’m OK with it, life happens and in the past week a lot of life has happened. So I’m allowing myself the days off and am trying to get back into the swing of things. And I can’t think of a better way to get back into blogging than with some fun Old School blogging, hosted by my friend Elaine. I miss the days when things were just about sharing stories and getting to know each other, rather than being Pinteresting.

So today I’m sharing 5 Random Things About Me.

1. I’m not very good at coming up with random things. Things never feel very random to me.

2. For years I hated country music, refused to listen to it. But in the last 2 years I’ve really started to enjoy it. I blame my neighbors. And twenty year-old me kinda hates me for it. In the past few years I’ve seen Zac Brown Band, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney and Carrie Underwood. So yeah I might be a country fan these days.

3. I have a first edition copy of Gone With the Wind. Scarlet O’Hara is one of my favorite literary characters. I love books with strong but slightly damaged characters. My all time favorite heroine, Erica Kane.

4. I have a collection of quotes in a notebook that I keep next to my bed. I write down quotes from books and movies that I love. I love collecting words and I like reading back through them because they remind me of some of my favorite books and movies.

5. I’m a bit set in my ways. I like routine. I don’t like my stuff messed with. I like to read the Sunday paper cover to cover every week and god forbid you try to take a section before I’ve gotten to it. I don’t share very well. I don’t let Jack play with my Iphone or Ipad, those are Mommy’s toys.  My husband claims I have only child syndrome, even though I’m not an only child.
