Retro toys are big this year and by retro I mean circa the late 80’s and early 90’s. Yes, the toys of my childhood are back just in time for me to be old enough to buy them for my son. Coincidence? I think not. But I am totally loving the return of some of my childhood favorites.
Here are 5 Retro Toys for the Holidays
Lite Brite LED Flatscreen – Boys
With 200 LED light up pegs kids can create there own patterns and pictures or use the ones that come with it. Lite Brite is one and imaginative and makes for a great night lite in a kids room.
Pound Puppies Puppy & Carrier – Shiba Inu
I might have squeeled when I heard Pound Puppies were back. I can still remember the name of my Pound Puppy and the Christmas that I got him. If you are not familiar with Pound Puppies here is how it works, kids get to adopt a puppy, name them and then can register them online.
Care Bears Wish Bear 12 Inch Plush
I was so excited to see Care Bears at Sweet Suite this summer. The new versions are brighter and softer and just as cute as I remember them.
Classic Etch A Sketch Magic Screen
Etch a Sketch returns to toy stores this year. Kids will love designing and drawing with Etch a Sketch. Etch A Sketch encourages creativity and fine motor skills. Kids can draw using the nobs and then shake to erase.
While there are the more traditional looking Doodle Bears on the market, I love this Monster Doodle Bear that is perfect for little boys. It comes with two pens, one of which glows in the dark.
