I was in a bit of a funk about this season, and it was mostly stress related. Saying yes to too many things and taking on too many things, that I almost forgot what this season, this holiday is about… being Thankful.
Yesterday my friend Shell wrote this post and it clicked with me. Thankful. I have so much to be thankful for and people who are thankful for me.
For my husband who works hard and who only torments me about half as often as he would like to.
For Jackson who makes me feel happy and blessed every day.
My in-laws who always come through in a jam.
For my Mom who is my best friend, and for my Dad who always offers great advice and perspective on things.
For Baily pup who sometimes is my favorite family member, as he is the only one who doesn’t talk back.
For all my friends and family who love Jackson. He’s lucky to have so many people who love him.
For my home and my hood that I love so very much. I’m looking forward to decorating and celebrating the holidays here.
Jackson’s Thankful tree. Love his priorities. |
For my best friends. We are lucky to live so close to each other and that our kids will grow up together. I’m grateful for every late afternoon text for beer, every dinner together and all the traditions we share.
For Monica and Megan, what would I do without you two crazy girls?!
For joining Moms Club and the friendships I’ve made there.
For Taylor Swift 1989, which has gotten me through these last few crazy weeks. Sometimes you just gotta Shake It Off.
For Jersey Family Fun, which has taught me so much and brought me new experiences and friendships.
For my HS co-workers, we are family.
For friends that have become bloggers and bloggers that have become friends. I’m grateful for the community and friendships that this little space on the Internet has brought me.

And I’m thankful for health and happiness and all the fun that this holiday season holds.
What are you thankful for this year?

Aw! I'm thrilled to make your thankful list. And you know- I feel the same way. Blogging has brought me so many wonderful things- and the best is yet to come I'm sure.
