It’s that time of year when every event seems to call for festive attire. Where you want to feel a little more dressed up, where you want what you wear to impress or at least that’s how it feels to me. And with so many events I’m always looking for ways to make my wardrobe go the extra mile and one simple way to dress up any outfit is with a statement necklace.
Basic Tee Shirt and jeans
I love adding a statement necklace to basic tee shirt like this one from Old Navy. With the right shoes and the necklace, casual suddenly becomes a bit dressy. I love this look for a night out with the girls or low-key holiday gathering. Think drinks with friends or an at home holiday party.
Break-Up a Striped Top
I love this striped top and the bit of sparkle on the shoulders but I’m never sure what necklace to pair with it. I love the way the aqua necklace pops against the gray stripes of the shirt. This look is perfect for the office holiday party or for a night out.
A Pop of Color
I love wearing colors that compliment each other together. This coral sweater pairs really well with the aqua bubble necklace. I love that the contrast of colors is fun and unexpected for the holidays but still festive. This outfit is perfect for your kids holiday party at school or the party that they have during work hours at your office.
Winter White
White after Labor Day totally works when it is a winter white tone. I personally love adding lots of color when wearing white so as not to be washed out by it. This necklace totally makes a statement when paired with white. This outfit works for a casual event.
Little Black Dress
Everyone should have a LBD, if you don’t what are you waiting for, go get one. The LBD is perfect for any occasion and I’ve worn this dress for a few different events throughout the years. Last year I wore this to a holiday party and a bachelorette party, for each event I paired it with a different statement necklace making the dress feel fresh again. I love how this necklace brings color and fun to the dress. I would wear this look to a dressy holiday party or even for New Years Eve.
