Days of Summer Week 1

I can’t believe this school year has come to an end, it really went by fast and then I blinked and it was over. Part of my is still shocked that it’s over and a part of me is relieved. This past week life without a schedule has been busy and wonderful. I’m almost hesitant to say this but 4 sort of feel like a wonderful sweet spot. Still little enough to to cuddle with mom and love spending time with me but big enough to do things for himself and it’s a relief to be past the napping and the diaper days.

Last year I took a picture a day to capture our summer. It was fun to look back on how we spent our days. So this year I will be doing it again and I hope you follow along on our adventures.

Saturday June 13

I had a great morning to myself, then we spent lots of time in the pool, first with my in-laws and later the three of us took a quick swim after dinner.

Sunday June 14
I started the day with paddle boarding in Ocean City with a friend, then we spent the day by the pool. John and Jack napped and I caught a couple of hours to myself to sit outside and read. Then we had dinner at our neighbors.
Monday June 15
The weather was really hit and miss on Monday so we ran errands and hung at home, then spent a couple of hours at our friends house later in the day. I love this shot of Bailey puppy just enjoying a lazy morning.
Tuesday June 16
We had friends over to go swimming in the morning and it was the perfect day for the pool.
Wednesday June 17
I worked and then had book club that night. I took this shot of myself at work while I sat on hold. I feel like the beige and bad lighting totally reflects my day job.
Thursday June 18
After a long day at work I relaxed with my book, I really loved Judy Blume’s new book In the Unlikely Event.
Friday June 19
This kid has been amazing in the pool so far and swimming like a champ. We had lunch with friends and then spent the evening swimming with our besties till it got dark out, all summer days should end that way.
Saturday June 20
One of my oldest friends is spending 2 weeks in my hometown (about 30 minutes from where I live), so we spent the night in Sea Isle and got to live it up like locals hitting up some bars and enjoying cocktails named for their alcohol content.
