Last week I bailed on my cocktail recipe, honestly the weather was awful and I felt like diving into a bottle of red wine, rather than mixing up some fun cocktails. But this week the weather has done a total 180, and I’m back in a drink making mood, and ready for a Pina Colada.
Warm weather always makes me crave delicious frozen concoctions but I’m not a huge fan of mixes or all the sugar and calories. So what is a pina colada loving gal to do?
A few years ago I came up with an alternative that tastes better than any mix, my perfect pina colada. This year I thought it would be fun to come up with a few different low calorie pina coladas.
Mango Passion Fruit Pina Colada
1 5.3 oz container Chobani Passion Fruit Yogurt
1 cup Coconut Milk
2 oz Coconut Rum
1 oz Mango Rum
1 Cup Ice
Combine ingredients in a blender and blend.
Banana Mango Pina Colada
1 Ripe Banana
1 Mango
2 oz Banana Rum
1 oz Mango Rum
1 Cup Ice
Combine ingredients in a blender and blend.
Both of these are low in calories and in sugar and taste better than any mixes I’ve ever had. Serve these at your next party!
