Days of Summer Week 3

The first 3 weeks of summer went really fast. I feel like we’ve done a lot of the things that are on my imaginary bucket list. We’ve been busy but not too busy and I’m hoping the summer keeps that pace.

Saturday June 27

It was a rainy day and I had signed Jack up for a Lowes Build and Grow workshop. Why I keep putting myself through those things I’ll never know but after lots of muttering under my breath and having to ask for another kit (because I made a mistake) I built Captain America’s motorcycle. And this guy was happy, which is really all that matters.

Sunday June 28
We had a lazy day at home, which was nice. Then we went to a family party and Jack looked very stylish.
Monday June 29
Jessica of Mommy University came down with her boys for a visit. I can’t tell you how happy I was to see this girl. Some people just get you, plain and simple and that’s how it is with Jess. We went to the beach and the boardwalk, watched the Bachelorette and stayed up late talking. It was a great day.
Tuesday June 30
Jess and I took the boys to the Cape May County Zoo. The boys had a great time seeing all the animals and the Zoo is the best free attraction at the Jersey Shore. I loved showing Jess my little piece of Jersey and I can’t wait to do it again.
July 1
It was back to work for me and I was really sad to see Jess go, luckily she left this delicious lambic for me to enjoy.
July 2
Another day of work, luckily I had these cute new pants to brighten my day. I love “real” clothes that feel like pajamas. I wish all my pants were this way.
July 3
Friday was a busy day for me, I had my first Moms Club meeting as president. Honestly I was really nervous about the whole thing but I think it went really well. Later on we went to the park for a bit but mostly had a low key day.

When I was in college, the local bar had the Framboise in the "Beer Club."

I was in college . . . so paying something like $12 for a beer, when I could, you know, drink 3-4 beers . . . well, it wasn't high on the list. I remember, when I finally got around to actually trying it, being surprised to find that I actually enjoyed it (fruity beers aren't typically my thing)
