The winter months can be a time of staying in, staying cozy and playing with toys that really don’t get kids up and moving. And while I’m all about a lazy day, sometimes in the middle of winter you just need to get moving or more so you need to get your kids moving to get some of that built up energy out and keep them from driving you nuts. We were provided with some of these toys to try out and trust me they are sure to help tire you kids out during the long winter months. This post contains affiliate links.

E-Z Grip Super Grip Hi Bounce Ball
I was able to check this toy out at Sweet Suite this summer and let me tell you this ball has some serious bounce. When the demonstrator bounced the ball, the ball easily hit the ceiling. This toy is not for indoor use but who would want to restrict a ball with such bounce to the indoors. The E-Z Grip is great for outdoor games and play. The ball, as it says in the name, is really E-Z to grip making it fun for kids of all ages and even athletically challenged moms like me.
This award-winning high-powered bat will have your kid hitting home run’s that soar beyond the backyard. The crush-it gives kids (and parents) the ability to adjust the tension of the bat to result in higher power hits. The bat comes with foam balls so you don’t have to worry about getting hit by a line drive. The bat is very light weight making it perfect for kids as young as 5 years old but also lots of fun for older kids.
The Kick Flipper is a great, fun way to introduce kids to skateboarding and snowboarding. The board helps kids build balance and skills and increases their confidence. The Kick Flipper challenges kids enough while making it easy for them to learn, check out my full review of the Kick Flipper.
This is the ultimate activity for a snow day. Using clamps and string kids set up a “laser” field that they attempt to get through to diffuse a “bomb” without touching the strings. If they touch the strings the timer speeds up. Kids can play over and over again seeing who can complete it faster and setting up new missions. Chrono Bomb is best for ages 7 and up, though I imagine kids of all ages would have fun with it.
