I’m a bit late getting this up today because I actually went out and had coffee with a friend this morning. I don’t always make time to do that sort of thing, but after some really good coffee and conversation, I realized I need to do it more often.
This week marked the start of my third trimester. I’ve had friends comment: “I can’t believe it’s the third trimester already” to which I think, “I can, I feel like I’ve been pregnant forever” and men (only men) respond “Only 3 more months, it will be here before you know it” to which my MIL (shocker) responded “easy for him to say”.
I’m glad to be in the final stretch even though it seems like a long one. But I need those 12 weeks, I have done slightly more than nothing to get the babies room ready. I am so much less prepared than I was with Jackson, and I’m wondering if there is a happy place between having way too much stuff and not having enough stuff. John seems to be in denial that in 3 months a baby will be here, but that’s nothing new. When I was 37 weeks pregnant with Jackson and I told him I was going to talk to the doctor about how sick I was feeling at my appointment the next day, he said “wow this baby is really going to be here soon”. And guess what happened 10 minutes after that? My water broke. So I can’t really count on him to be prepared.
Just because I can’t drink wine right now doesn’t mean I’m not still interested in wine. Here are a few new cool wine products that I recently learned about.
Pure Vino is a website that helps you pick a new wine based on what you like. I would love to try this out after the baby comes because I will definitely be in need so some new wine.
Cellarwraps make wine bottle cards, basically greeting card labels that can be attached to wine bottles. I love this concept because I hate cards and I think most people would prefer a bottle of wine to a card. When I saw their product I couldn’t help but think, “why didn’t anyone think of this sooner”?!
Here are a few blog posts I enjoyed this week.
Going to Disney When Your Kids Are Too Young to Remember – because I clearly love all things Disney and think the memories aren’t just for the kids but for the parents too.
5 Reasons You Used to Love the Snow and Now Don’t – in memory of last weeks blizzard that has thankfully melted.
This loaded baked potato soup, looks so incredibly delicious and a lot simpler than some other recipes I’ve found. I will definitely be making this.
How was your week?

I love the wine bottle wraps! I’m going to include that in a future post on wine related stuff and I will, of course, give you the credit for finding this great product! Wishing you a comfortable 3rd trimester!
