Having a kid has led me to rethink a lot of things in life and one of them is Valentine’s Day. I’ve never been one to have too much enthusiasm about the holiday but Jackson loves it (and any holiday for that matter, you should have seen the excitement over whether or not the ground-hog saw his shadow this week). And honestly over the years I’ve come to appreciate it in my own way, check back later in the week for a post about that.
Speaking of Valentine’s Day, the way to a women’s heart in particular this pregnant women’s heart is through food if you are local to South Jersey or maybe want to plan a romantic weekend here don’t miss these Valentine’s Day Wine Events.
While I can’t indulge in any wine this Valentine’s day I can indulge in some chocolate. So when Chocolat Frey contacted me about trying their chocolates, I couldn’t help but scream yes. And I’m really glad I did because once the package arrived this week I realized that this was the same chocolate I had in Switzerland 15 years ago when I visited in high school. The chocolate was just as good as I remembered it and took me back to a spring break spent exploring Switzerland. Starting this month Chocolat Frey will be available in the U.S at select retailers.
Here are some posts I enjoyed this week:
5 Things to do to Avoid Passing on Fake News on Social Media – This piece gets a big Amen from me, because fake news stories drive me nuts and I have been known to be the person posting the link to the Snopes story debunking the fake story.
How to Get Through February – Cause this time of year can be so tough on people, myself included that we all need ways to make it through the longest short month of the year.
Some Kids Are Picky Eaters. The End. – This one from Scary Mommy really hit home, my son is a picky eater and this one nails it.
If you are looking for some last-minute Valentine’s Day ideas here are a few I love:
Printable Star Wars Valentines – Star Wars is pretty much tops in our house.
Super Easy Valentine’s Day Art – Cause I’m not crafty but I think I could handle this.
Valentine’s Day Tinker Tray – Is easy to make and would be fun for kids.
Whether next Sunday finds you having a fancy night our or at home I hope you spend the day with the ones you love.
