Sorry to have missed the past few Sundays but when a new baby comes along you tend not to know what day it is anymore. Another thing about having a new baby is that you aren’t able to drive for 2 weeks which means I’ve spent a lot of time at home on the couch watching TV. Since it’s election season, everywhere I turn there seems to be a large orange-colored man shouting at me. I just can’t take the politics anymore, so I’ve found myself watching a lot of what I’m calling “non-controversial television” which means an endless string of Property Brothers, Caribbean Life and Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. So now I want to redo my home, move to the Caribbean (did you know there are homes in Aruba for under 300,000!), and make this french toast.
I’m actually not minding all the time at home, at all. There is something peaceful about being home in the new baby bubble. And the weather really hasn’t cooperated for any baby outings, so we’ve just been enjoying the time at home.
What We’ve Been Loving:
This toy (affiliate) has kept Jackson busy and laughing and announcing that it’s “the best day ever” and I love that it’s educational and does not involve a tablet or controller.
I ordered my first postpartum stitch fix. I never got a chance to share my third trimester stitch fix on the blog but I did love and buy everything in it. I can’t wait to see what my stylist comes up with and it will be really nice to have some new clothes that fit. Cause I think I’m ready to retire the maternity yoga pants I’ve been living in. If you haven’t tried stitch fix yet, use my affiliate link to check them out. I love finding great fashion without having to leave my couch.
Speaking of not leaving my couch I’m hooked on online shopping lately, mostly because I haven’t left the house. I’m loving Diapers.com for all things baby and Shop Rite from Home was a lifesaver throughout my pregnancy. I’ve also been using Wine Crasher to get great wines delivered to my door, look for a full review coming soon.
It was National Beer Day earlier this week and I finally got to try some of the beers that I missed out on during my pregnancy. I loved the Sam Adams Rebel Grapefruit IPA. It will definitely be a summer go-to beer.
What’s new in your world? What things have you been loving lately?
