When you have an infant the weeks seem to go by fast, but days and nights can sometimes seem really long. I thought that after I had Grace I would take a few weeks off from blogging but when you are sitting up at 3 am nursing a baby you need something to keep yourself awake. I have been reading a lot of blogs and writing a lot on my phone. The writing is good for me and this blog started as a place to share my experiences after I had Jack, so writing right now feels right.
Life is all about balance which currently seems impossible. Trying to find time for Jack and get to his activities and take care of Grace and walk the dog and maintain a social life. Right now family, friends and my MOMS club have been the biggest lifesaver. My MOMS club does a meal train and getting those meals 3 nights a week has saved me so much stress. If anyone ever offers to bring you a meal in a time of need just say yes.
I’m currently reading The Book Thief, I have a lot of mixed feelings about the book. If you have read it, what did you think?
Later this week I have my friend Christine back on the blog sharing a Disney craft for your next Disney vacation. She’s one of my oldest friends and so much more crafty than I could ever be. My friend Veronica, shared this recipe on Facebook and declared it “so good and why she loves pinterest” once I’m cooking again I am definitely making it. Have you made anything you found on Pinterest lately?
Here are a few things from around the internet that I have enjoyed this week.
Life as a Drunk Mom – had me laughing and relating.
Why My Maternity Leave Isn’t a Freaking Vacation – Considering that an article recently ran about someone wanting meternity leave and the fact that I’m currently on maternity leave, this is really relevant to me.
Since I’m at home, a lot, I have been needing some new lunch ideas and I will definitely be trying this Pear Arugula Panini . Also I’ve had the coconut gouda used in the recipe and OMG is it good.
Teacher appreciation week always sneaks up on my and I’m looking for a meaningful gift at the last-minute. Don’t be like me and check out these great ideas for teacher appreciation gifts.
