The late 90’s were a fun time for music. Boy bands, lyrics I could understand, artists whose names I could pronounce and music I knew how to dance to. Every summer seemed to bring around another great bunch of hits to listen to on the beach or while getting ready to go out with my friends.
I had just gotten my license and was slowly growing out of my alternative music phase and starting to listen to happier music. I remember driving around with my friends and singing along to all the latest boy bands and attempting to copy their dance moves.
Those were the days and so much as changed since then. I’m now a mom to 2 kids, no one buys CD’s anymore and today’s music… well as much as I love it, a lot of it is NSFW and many times I find myself having to search urban dictionary to find out what they are talking about. And I find myself listening to the 90’s summer hits channel on Pandora more than I like to admit.
This summer you can take it back to the late 90’s / early 00’s with the My2k Tour. The My2k Tour is bringing 4 of the hottest acts from those lazy summer days of the late 90’s, headlined by 98 Degrees and featuring Ryan Cabrera, Dream and O-Town in a celebration of infectious pop music.
What better way to relive those days than to celebrate with a night out to see My2k Tour. You and your friends can sing your way through Give Me Just One Night, He Loves You Not, On The Way Down and Liquid Dreams.
I can’t wait to grab a Smirnoff Ice, throw on my Juicy Couture track suit and platform flip-flops and sing along like it’s 2001 all over again.
And you can too. The My2k Tour is coming to Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on Friday August 12th, enter below to win 2 tickets and be apart of the fun. You can also follow the My2k tour on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
I was provided with 2 tickets to the My2k tour and 2 tickets to giveway, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
