Sweet Toys: Moose Caboose

Often I catch Jackson snapping pictures of his toys on my old camera. Whenever I ask him what he’s doing he tells me he’s working on a review. He’s meticulous about setting up the toys and getting pictures of them and he keeps asking me if he can make toy videos, like the ones he watches on the computer at his Nana’s.

Earlier this month I went to Blogger Bash in NYC, after I came home the Sweet Suite box of toys arrived and this was the first year I decided to let Jackson get his hands on it, talk about Christmas in July. The box was packed with games, toys and other fun surprises.

Jackson was so excited to check out the toys and after we went through the box I found him setting up all the toys and taking pictures, for his “review”. He asked me if he could make some videos for my blog and I agreed. He loved making the videos and while they are not perfect they were fun to make, so I told him I would share them here. And the activity of making the video kept him occupied for an hour, so there is that.

Over the next few weeks or months depending on time and space (and Jackson’s attention span), I’m going to be featuring some of Jackson’s toy videos. And I hope you enjoy them, follow along and check out some of the toys he loves. Since he’s a 5-year-old toy reviewer, I think it pretty much goes without saying that the reviews are honest. I’m not the best video editor but I’m working on it. But mostly I hope that you enjoy the videos and learn about a toy your kid might like. And for me it’s a fun activity for Jack and I to do together.

Moose Caboose

Moose Caboose

Moose Caboose is a simple card game perfect for kindergartener’s and up. The object of the game is to match cards based on color and collect the most cards at the end by finishing the train with the moose caboose. Four train engines are placed on the table and you match colors to build the train, players with Moose Caboose cards can play the card at any time and collect all the cards in the train except the engine. Play ends after all of the cards have been played. The player with the most cards wins.

What Moms Says about Moose Caboose:

I love that this game is quick and simple, kids can grasp the concept quickly and game play is easy. This is a great game to play when you don’t have the time or energy for a long board game with a lot of rules.

Jackson says about Moose Caboose:

He likes building the train by matching the colors and playing the Moose Caboose card.
