It’s starting to feel like fall around here. The mornings are cooler, the sunsets a little earlier and you can see that the leaves are starting to turn. Fall is one of my favorite times of the year because the weather is perfect for outdoor fun and there is always a festival or farm to visit. Fall also brings back some of my favorite flavors like pumpkin and apple. As soon as the weather cools event just a little I find myself in the mood for apple pie and ciders.
Which is what inspired me to make this Four Roses Double Bourbon Apple Pie Ale. I wanted a drink that tasted like fall the from the first sip and didn’t disappoint. I often find apple flavored drinks to be on the sweet side. This cocktail has the right mix of sweet and spice and it packs a punch, hence the double bourbon in its name. It’s perfect for warming you up on a chilly fall night.
