It’s been awhile since I’ve done one of these. Life has been hectic this summer and I’m happy for September and a chance to try to get back into a routine.
At dinner with friends I mentioned that I consider myself to be an introvert, which seemed to surprise everyone. I completely related to this post about being an extroverted introvert, especially the part about needing alone time but also being lonely.
One of the things I’ve been looking forward to about the return of the school year is having some more time to myself. This summer, “me time” has been pretty much obsolete. I love these simple ideas for getting more me time.
Jack starts Kindergarten this week and while I can’t believe we are here, I’m ready for him to go back to school and even though he doesn’t know it yet, he’s ready for it too. I know I’m supposed to be having all the feels about him going to Kindergarten but we aren’t changing schools this year, so I’m looking forward to our last year at our school. I enjoyed this post about starting Kindergarten. Next year when he changes schools I’m sure I will be a hot mess.
A few weeks ago I was sent Wine Outside to check out. I was really intrigued by these wine glasses that are plastic because with having the pool we really try to avoid having glass outside. I have purchased plastic wine glasses in the past and have never been really impressed by them. But Wine Outside is not your typical plastic wine glass. To start they are stemless, lessening the chance of them blowing over and spilling your wine. They are also thin plastic so they don’t look like plastic. The plastic is dishwasher safe and washes up just as clean and sparkly as glass so they always look great. I love my Wine Outside glasses so much that they have become wine inside glasses for us.
Don’t miss the picture keeper giveaway I have going on. It’s a great device for storing all of those summer memories.
We are enjoying the last weekend of the summer season around here. I love September so much and can’t wait for all the fun of fall.
Cheers.
