Family

State of Grace – 6 Months Old

You are 6 months old. It’s hard to believe that 6 short months ago you surprised us with your early arrival. Because it feels like you have always been apart of our lives. You are easily the happiest member of our family. The quickest to smile or giggle and for the most part easy-going. You are nothing like your brother was at an infant.

state of grace 6 months old

Most days you take 2 naps a day and go to bed between 6 and 7. You sleep 12 hours most nights and it is just as wonderful as it sounds.

You are so over your bounce seat and your swing. You still love your play mat and your exersaucer. You are working on sitting up without support but I think you wish you could get right to crawling or walking. You are stubborn and easily distracted. Sometimes you remind me of your dad so much.  No matter what is going on around you, you stop what you’re doing when your brother starts talking, which is often.

I have started giving you solid foods oatmeal baby cereal and pumpkin. So far enjoy sitting at the table and spitting the food out more than you enjoy eating it. We are still nursing even after I went on vacation for 6 days, you picked right back up where you left off.

You have the chubbiest little cheeks that we all can’t seem to get enough of. You are obsessed with grabbing your feet and you love watching Mickey Mouse Club House with your brother. You can roll both ways and you use that to get to the toys you want.

I think you just discovered that we have a dog. You love to pet Elvis and you smile and laugh at him.

You weigh 14lbs, 10 oz and are 25 inches long. You are quickly growing out of your size 6 month clothes and you easily have a better wardrobe than I do.

6-months

You have no desire to stay still. Making these photo shoots difficult but fun. You always have to know what is going on around you and you refuse to be left out of anything.

You are so loved baby girl. You make my heart so happy and complete our family in a wonderful way. Happy Half Birthday baby girl, I hope you remain all smiles and giggles.
