December?! How did we get here so fast? We are in full holiday mode around here, Jack and I have decided it will be the “best Christmas ever” and we are excited to do all of our favorite holiday activities. More on how we are having the best Christmas ever later this week.
Last month we got our family pictures taken, and I LOVE how they came out and I can’t wait to show them off on my Christmas cards? Do you send Christmas cards? I know I don’t get as many as I did years ago but I love sending and receiving Christmas cards.
I’m completely in gift shopping mode and I’m mostly done my Christmas shopping. I’m loving this guide from Eat, Sleep, Be of gifts that give back. I might have my eye on the Alex and Ani bracelets and the Cuddle & Kind dolls.
I put together a few gift guides this year and have 2 more coming next week, along with a fun giveaway and maybe one other surprise. Speaking of giveaways, have you entered this one?
Our schedule is packed the next few weeks, I’m always torn this time of year about wanting to do All. The. Things. and wanting to just relax and enjoy the season. Last weekend we had a few kid-free hours and visited White Horse Winery in Hammonton, if you are local wine-lover it is a must do.
I’ve started something new and quietly launched Jersey Girls Drink. It’s still a work in progress, but one I’m really excited about, and you can expect a full launch in 2017. But for now follow us on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter to see what’s coming up.
As I was trying to find time in our schedule for all the holiday fun I saw that Regal Cinemas is going to be showing holiday classics A Christmas Story, Christmas Vacation, Home Alone and It’s a Wonderful Life in theaters. There is a part of me that wants to take Jack to see Home Alone just like when I was a kid.
Looking for a red wine that’s a little on the sweet side? Frontera After Midnight Concha Y Toro is a red blend that has hints of cherry and currant. I served this at the Lula Roe pop up shop that I hosted and it was a favorite. Everyone was asking where I got it and I was lucky enough to have been sent a bottle to sample. It’s the kind of wine that would easily be a hit with any crowd this holiday season and pairs well with appetizers and cheese. And at about $4.99 a bottle it’s easy on the budget. Drink up.
