I don’t know about you but I’m in this crazy season of school is almost done and the month is full of all the things. That’s the thing about this time of year. The weather finally starts to get warm and we want to relax but the calendar is so full that it’s hard to just relax.
I’ve been trying to cook quick meal that everyone in my house will eat. This isn’t as easy as it sounds. It usually means we are eating tacos, pasta and pizza a lot. In an effort to change it up I made these sweet thai lettuce wraps, from Tastefully Simple. This meal comes together in under 30 minutes, making it great for busy nights. Both of my kids loved it, though I do omit the peppers and peanuts for them. You can get the ingredients here.
It’s finally starting to feel like summer which means bathing suit season. If like me you have put off buying a bathing suit, check out my guide for the one swimsuit every mom needs.
I will pretty much be living in this tank top, this summer and it comes in v-neck too.
I’m looking for some summer reading suggestions. My husband and my mom (totally different demographics) loved this book. My book club read Good as Gone last month and it definitely had some twists that I didn’t expect, it would make a great beach read.
I have a few cocktail posts coming up later this month. Summer is the perfect time for outdoor cocktails and if you are looking for a few to try this summer, check these cocktails out from previous summers.
We are in our last week of school and I am so ready for it to be summer. I’m between a Rose and a Sauvignon Blanc for what wine I will be drinking on the last day of school.
What are your plans for summer vacation? Any great ideas for how to keep the kids busy this summer, let me know.
