Bachelor in Paradise Season 4 Finale – Not Quite Paradise

Lets get right to the finale, or as I’m calling it the finale that Taylor and Derek saved because otherwise there wasn’t much to cheer about or many cliffhangers.

Final Day in Paradise

Chris Harrison suddenly announces the end of paradise and couples start dropping like flies. What happened to rose ceremonies, to getting down to the last couples? No time for that this season, just are you in or get out.

Jack Stone

Serial killer Jack was ready to settle down and marry Christen except that she felt all they talked about was the weather. Jack seemed heartbroken and Christen seemed relieved.

Diggy Goes Home Alone

Diggy sent Dominique home in favor of Jaimi but then Jaimi said she wanted to leave as friends. See you all next season.

What Goes Around

Dean picked D-Lo over Kristina, except that he then realized he was in love with her and then sent D-Lo packing. And for a moment we all agreed with Dean, he “hates himself” and we “hate him”.

Fantasy Suites

Everyone takes the Fantasy Suite, even though Chris Harrison tries to leave us hanging.

Canadian Bacon

For a small moment, I was cheering for Daniel and Lacey. I thought the Canadian Bacon was a changed man.

Corrinne and Demario

ABC knows how to beat a dead horse, but these two didn’t bring any drama to the finale. Can we never talk about this again?

Shame on Dean if he Fools us Once, Shame on Us if He Fools us Twice

When Dean left paradise we thought he may have seen the error of his ways, realized he made a mistake and maybe just maybe he could have been the man we loved (or at least liked) on the Bachelorette. But then D-Lo revealed that he was calling her the day after paradise ended, right around the same time he was calling Kristina again. Dean, no one feels sorry for you.

A Paradise Proposal

I know I’m in the minority as a Taylor fan but, I was so happy when Derek proposed. Do I think it’s probably too soon? Do I think 23 is too young to get married? Yes and yes, but paradise needed some happiness and I loved the cast’s reactions to the proposal. Even arch-nemesis Corrinne seemed to get caught up in the moment.

So on to the Bachelor, I guess. I still have to wrap my head around an Arie Bachelor season but I guess if I survived 2 seasons of Brad I can get through Arie. My friend loves Arie so I’m going to take her word for it.
