Here in New Jersey, it’s blueberry season and fun fact Hammonton, NJ about half an hour from my house is the Blueberry Capital of the World. One of my favorite summer activities is to visit one of our local farms and go blueberry picking. The blueberries are so fresh that the kids eat them right off the plant and I don’t bother stopping them, you only live once.
However, blueberry picking with kids always leaves me with way more blueberries than we could ever eat or freeze. But I don’t want to squash their fun just because I don’t want too many blueberries. Over the years I’ve made a variety of recipes using our fresh picked blueberries. Here are some of my favorites and I might add go right for the Blueberry Mojito, you can’t go wrong with that, especially if you just spent the morning picking blueberries with kids.
