Last Easter was a hot mess. Or more appropriately a hot, screaming, teething mess of a day.
But that was last year. And because last year was such a mess I was really looking forward to this year.
The week before Easter we had a group of friends and their kids over for some egg dying and pizza. The moms mostly ended up dying the eggs while the kids played in the playroom without any fighting or tears. Who would have thought that 6 kids could play nicely for two hours, I think we were all amazed.
On Easter there was an Easter Egg hunt at our friends house followed by a delicious brunch where I totally stuffed myself. Jack loved running around the yard and depositing his eggs in his bucket.
Then we had dinner at my parents house where I again stuffed myself. There was just too much delicious food for one day.
It was a laid back kind of Easter, no fussing or fancy dresses, no one complaining about rambunctious kids, no rushing from one place to another. Just the way I like it.

Looks like you had a great Easter.
I can't blame Jack for wanting to get more eggs.

Oh, Jack's a cutie!
