I haven’t been the best at keeping up with the blog this summer. Some weeks have had 2 or 3 posts and others have had one or none. And some posts have been very photocentric. So I thought I would share some of the things I’ve been doing when I’m not blogging or better when I should be blogging.
1). If Jack’s not napping then I’m not blogging.
That would easily be the number one reason why I don’t get a chance to blog. I do most of my writing during naps. So no nap = no blog post. So if a week goes by and you haven’t seend a new post. Chances are this is the reason why. I suggest you send wine immediately.
2). Reading about Disney.
Since we booked our trip to Disney I’ve become obsessed with Disney blogs. In the event that Jack does nap I have been spending the majority of nap time reading Disney blogs.I’m a bit obsessed at the moment.
3). Enjoying summer.
We’ve been going to the beach and the park and the boardwalk and the rides. We’ve had bbq’s with friends and dinners out with family. We’ve rode bikes and took walks. Some weeks it’s been too hectic to get a good blog post in. I promise once it’s winter you will be begging me not to post.
4). Hanging with my mom.
My mom is my bff so we’ve been going shopping and out to dinner any chance we get.
The town we are living in seems to have a never ending abundance of delicious food. Between being home to my favorite hot dog joint and a short drive from my favorite bakery, I’ve done a lot of eating this summer. And don’t even get me started on the farmers market and my new favorite coffee shop.
I’ve always been a reader but my friends started a book club this summer I’ve found myself reading more often. So far this summer my favorite pick has been Gone Girl.
7). Time Suckage
Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, reading blogs, playing words with friends all of my favorite forms of time suckage.
When John and I were younger we went to concerts almost weekly but as we’ve gotten older the number of shows we see each summer has dwindled to the point where I don’t think we’ve been to a concert in 2 years. This summer however we have gotten to see Coldplay and Toby Keith and tomorrow we are seeing Jimmy Buffett. I’m loving getting back into the swing of tailgating and concerts.
So what do you do when you should be doing something else?
