My biggest struggle with the start of Back to School is not only getting Jack out the door on time but also getting him to eat breakfast. This summer we got into a routine of him coming downstairs grabbing his cup of juice and then him getting all “snuggley” on the couch and watching TV. All summer I didn’t mind this habit because it was early and it gave me time to enjoy my coffee. But as the summer wore on I noticed that Jack ate breakfast later and later until it became brunch.
As we got closer to the start of the school year I tried to offer him breakfast after a little bit of snuggle time but it’s been a bit of a fail and all of the usual food he likes (waffles, granola, fruit bars) he doesn’t seem interested in.
I decided it was time to round up some new breakfast ideas and with this being his first full week of school, what better time than now to try them out.
