I was provided with a Vidadoo Electric Wine Opener and a Vidadoo Wine Pourer with Calabash Aerator to review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
I’m not, by any means, a fancy wine drinker. In fact I usually like to stick to bottles under around $15, and usually I stay well below that. I believe that wine can be accessible and enjoyable at any price point. I’m also a bit of a no frills girl when it comes to presentation, open, pour in my favorite glass and I’m good to go. For years my favorite wine glasses were dollar store finds.

But every now and then a girl likes some niceties with her wine. Products that enhance the experience without being too much trouble. When it comes down to it I’m a busy mom and when it’s time to relax I want to get my glass of wine and curl up on the couch as quickly as possible. This is where Vidadoo wine products come in. I recently had the opportunity to try out the Vidadoo wine pourer with aerator and the rechargeable electric wine opener. Both product were fun, easy to use and made my wine drinking experience just a bit more fun.
The Vidadoo Electric Wine Opener can open a bottle of wine in 7 -10 seconds. Which is way faster than I can open a bottle with my traditional crank wine opener. The Vidadoo electric wine opener takes 12 hours to charge and then you are good to go. You place the wine opener on top of the bottle, press the down button and in seconds the cork is out. Press the up arrow and the cork is removed from the opener. It’s really as simple as pressing a button. Fully charged the Vidadoo rechargeable electric wine opener can open 40 bottles of wine, that’s a lot of wine.
I have never used a wine aerator before and I wasn’t really certain if it would make a difference in the taste of the wine. I tried it with a red wine that I had opened that really seemed to only have a faint smell to it. I tend to like my wines to smell a bit pungent, one of my favorite wines smells like cigars. Smell is a big part of the wine experience and with this one I just couldn’t get anything. So I put the aerator in when I went to pour my second glass and not only did the wine have a smell but it tasted better. I could really taste all the blackberries or as my husband said, it tasted more jammy. It made a good glass of wine, much better and brought out the depth in the wine. I’m excited to try the aerator out with some of my old favorites to see if I taste new things.
Things I like about the Vidadoo Wine Pourer with Calabash Aerator
- That it’s all one piece that fits easily in any bottle of wine
- Portable and reusable
- Easy to clean
- Creates an expanded aromatic profile and softer tannins

I have tried so many different wine bottle openers and so far The Rabbit is my favorite – until now. I may just have to put this on my gift list! It would also be great for my folks. Thanks for the review!
