It seems like it was just Thanksgiving and there was so much time to enjoy the holiday season and get all the shopping and celebrating done. And now, here we are, less than a week till Christmas. The closer we get to the holiday the more I feel like I didn’t take it all in, I didn’t do enough festive things, I didn’t enjoy it enough. There always seems to be so much to do that sometimes I have to remind myself to slow down and enjoy it.
But that’s what I’m going to do these next few days. I’m going to finish the wrapping, watch Love Actually for the 5th time, enjoy some eggnog, lay on the couch and enjoy the tree and the fireplace and my family. Make some last minute Christmas magic and bake cookies for Santa. Cuddle up and watch movies and listen to Christmas music, look at Christmas lights and sing My Only Wish This Year a little too loud in my car. I’m just going to enjoy these last few days of the season, of this Christmas.
In February I will have been blogging here for 6 years and it never ceases to amaze me that so many of you who read from the beginning are still here and that I’ve made so many friends along the way. Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy New Year. See you in 2017.
