Double digits! It’s hard to believe that in 2 months we will be celebrating your first birthday, even though I already purchased your outfit. You are crawling everywhere and there is no stopping your determination. If you can reach it you will grab it. If you can crawl to it you will get it. You crawl to your brother with ease as he shouts, “come to Jackson” and when your Dad or I enter the room you smile and crawl to us.
You smile and wave and occasionally say “hi”. You know your name and you know what “no” means even though you don’t always listen to it.
We started music class this month and you love listening to the music and you bounce up and down dancing to music.
You love your Little Tikes play set that you got for Christmas. You crawl in and out the door with ease.
You are happiest when you are free to move about and hate being in your pack n play or high chair, unless you are eating.
You like all kinds of baby food but anything with cinnamon is your favorite. You still aren’t a fan of finger foods. You are finally getting some teeth and I’m remembering just how fun teething can be.
Your favorite things to say is , “ohhhhh” when you figure something out or are excited.
You went on your first flight and your first vacation. You loved the baby pool we set up on the beach for you. You were happy to drop toys and play with spoons every time we went out to eat.
We still call you peanut even though you really aren’t a peanut anymore. But the nickname seems to have stuck and even a flight attendant said, “you are such a peanut”.
You are the peanut butter to my jelly. While I was good with my family of 3, you’ve added something to our family that makes it perfect. Mama, needed a little girl so very much. If there was one thing I wanted in life more than anything it was to have a daughter and I’m grateful every day that I have you.
