Baby girl, you are 11 months old, I’m not sure how it’s possible that I’m planning your first birthday party. You finally have 2 teeth and several more on the way. Most days teething doesn’t seem to bother you, though you chew on every toy you can find. Your favorite toys are anything that you can fit in your hand and carry around. You love your bath toys and Weebles. You hate when anything has been put away. You have an owl toy that holds 3 small balls, every time I put them in the owl you promptly take them back out. You could play this game for hours.
You are a champion crawler, you love exploring and hate to stay put. I put you down to play and you quickly find your way to the kitchen or you sit outside the playroom door in hopes that your brother will let you play with his toys.
You have no desire to feed yourself. You still love baby food and haven’t taken any interest in finger foods. I mashed some mango into your morning cereal and you quickly spit it out, even though mango is your favorite.
This very mild winter has given us the chance to get to the park a lot. You love going on the swings, just like your brother did. I put you in the wagon and Jack pulled you around the yard and you loved it.
You have more sass and style than I ever had. It probably helps that everything looks cute on you. You laugh when I ask you what you want to wear, and then giggle and point to your favorite. And you have a lot of choices when it comes to clothes because I seem to think you need everything.
You wave “hi” and “bye” and nod your head “yes” and “no”. You say Dada a lot and you get excited whenever your brother comes in the room.
You are curious always trying to see what your brother is up to. You love to laugh and even when you don’t take your afternoon nap, which is often, you still manage to be happy.
Happy 11 months baby girl, you make our family so happy.
