Clean Fun with Washdrops

In full disclosure I was provided with a Washdrops Basic Car Wash to kit for this review, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Living near the beach definitely has it’s share of pluses, like being able to go whenever you want and not having to pack for a beach trip. All summer my beach stuff was in my car ready to go. Now that summer is over I began cleaning my car out and noticed that not only does the inside of my car look like the beach but the outside has a lovely film from the salt air.

I knew the car needed a bath but when you have a 3 year old who doesn’t like car washes, chances are you aren’t going to the car wash anytime soon. When I recently had the opportunity to review Wash Drops I knew that I could make giving the car a bath a fun experience.

Washdrops

How to use Washdrops:

  1. Fill a bucket with water and 3 capfulls of Washdrops per gallon
  2. Dip sponge in bucket and wash car.
  3. Dry with towel.
It’s really that simple! I got all of our supplies set up and went about starting to clean the car. My son came over to help and made quick work of the areas he could reach. He enjoyed scrubbing the tires and doors of the car. And because Washdrops is free of harmful chemicals like butyl and ammonia I didn’t have to worry about him getting chemicals on him while cleaning. Washdrops is also biodegradable and it is safe to dispose of the used water on the lawn or in the flowerbeds. Which saves water and my husband from getting upset about brown spots on the lawn.

Things I liked about Washdrops:
  • Lifts dirt and grime easily
  • No rinsing or hose needed. Just fill a bucket and add Washdrops and you are good to go.
  • Works on all exterior surfaces of the vehicle.
  • Biodegradable, solvent free, butyl free, phosphate free, ammonia free.
  • Safe to dispose of water on lawn, in flower beds or down the drain.
  • Economical, only 1 fl oz needed for 1 gallon of water.
My son had a great time helping clean the car. I loved how simple the whole process was and that by using Washdrops I turned a dreaded chore into something fun that we could do together. Not having to bring the hose out saved us from getting too wet on a mild fall day, when getting seriously wet would not have been fun.
The Washdrops Basic Car Wash Kit can be purchased from The Cequent Store for $16.00

Looks cool! And I'm pretty sure my van needs a good washing 🙂

The fact that it doesn't need rinsing is what intrigues me. One if the reasons I hate washing my car is because I feel like I usually take a bath right along with it.

I was also impressed with Wash Drops. We live in a condo and it is not convenient to use the hose, so this was great for us!
